Baby names

Girl's name that can be shortened to "m" sound

that's not very clear is it?
We have a brilliant boy baby name - Joshua Stanley H(surname)
The initials are therefore JSH, meaning his initials will mirror his nickname Josh.

I'm trying to recreate this for a girl, using the middle name Margaret (my lovely Grandma).
So it would have to be (name) M H.
The best I can come up with is Imogen, so IMH - Im as a nickname
Or Emily, so EMH - Em as a nickname.

Any ideas?!?!

Thank you minipie. In a weird coincedence, minipie is almost exactly what we're calling the bump at present.

Do you think you might be overthinking this a little? Surely just choose a name you like rather than one that fits some rule you've made up?

I'm Imogen Margaret. So I think you should go with that ;)

Use Margaret as a first name and Emily as a middle name then you can call her MEH?

I think you are overthinking it and should just call your dd (if she is a girl that is) a name you love. Margaret is a lovely name and lots of lovely names will go with it, but not necessarily fit into this strange rule you have set.

Not using initial vowels but thinking of nns with an M ending --

Samantha Margaret (Sam)
Stephanie Margaret
Sara Margaret
...(lots of S names)
Camilla Margaret
Zara Margaret
Kimberly Margaret
Miriam Margaret could be Mimi...
Pamela Margaret
Romilly Margaret
Romy Margaret
Tamsin Margaret
Talulah Margaret

Damaris

Gosh I think you are limiting yourself so much by this train of thought. I'd call her something you love.

I keep saying the same thing on this forum but I am at a loss as to why so much thought is put into middle names when they are so rarely spoken of and are remembered only by some family members (if lucky!) after a very short time.

Just call her Emma or Emily and everyone will call her Em anyway.

Surely friends at school will call your DS Josh because his name is Joshua? Not because his initials are JSH Confused.
