Classic but not boring boys' names?

I'm not pregnant, but DH and I definitely want to try for #3 within the next year. I took forever to agree on DD's name so I want a list in my head before we even try. Blush (Plus I am bored.) DC are Samuel and Margaret (Sam and Maggie, mostly) and for another girl I'd love Phoebe.

Boys' names kicked around in the past: William, James, Alexander (Alec), Charles (Charlie), Thomas. I do love them all but they seem...boring? I don't know.

Suggestions?

William, James and Thomas are great choices as they are classic names that really won't date - certainly not boring at all IMO. James is my favourite of the three.

They are not boring. They have survived over the centuries and are classical names. Thomas is my least fave because I don't like Tom/Tommy.

Classic names can have loads of great nicknames making them far less samey.

Our DS is William which can be Will, Bill, Liam, Billy etc.

I think they're great names.

I'm hoping for a William in DC3 is a DS!

How about Marcus?

Thank you, I do love them. :) Just not sure if they're "it" IYSWIM. :)

I especially like William, James, and Thomas because (and this is rather silly) they, like my other DC's names, have an M and A in them, which are DH's and my initials.

Not sure about James as it is FIL and BIL's name, though they are known exclusively as Jim and Jamey and I just like James.

I do like Marcus but am going to try to stay away from names starting with M or S so that the DC can have their own initials. :)

I like Nicholas Wincher but Nick rhymes with our last name. Same reason Patrick is out :(

Adam. Easy to spell and familiar but not very common. Also contains A and M which will be a bonus for you! (my DS's name of course).
