Alternative to Willow?

Mrspedro · 30/01/2014 18:33

I really want to name our daughter this but Dh is having none of it ( tho he gets quite faint during the births & agrees to anything on his recovery so if all else fails I'll take advantage of that! ;) )
Can anyone who's a lover of Willow offer any alternatives?

Love stella.
Problem with willow is if the child turns out to be substantially proportioned!
Why not call her Catherine with catkin as a nickname? If willows are your thing?
Other botanical type names
Veronica
Gillie
Hyacinth or perhaps not! Cynthia?
Flora

I do LOVE the name Willow though. I'd just go for the getting your husband to agree whilst you're giving birth option :-).

Ok...... I think I'm pretty stuck on Willow. Iv 18weeks to convince him and the more I say "oh there's Willow kicking again'" the more he (may) get to like it.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I now realise I'm not easily pleased !!

Does he have a list of names he does like?
If not, then fair game on rail roading him into Willow at birth.
If he does, then maybe you could post them so people could suggest names like Willow that will be to his taste as well.

Yarrow.

But if he doesn't like Willow, he won't like that.

Willow is beautiful.
