Looking for some help please!!! We've got some boys names lined up but now looking for girls. We're Scottish and would like that to be reflected in the name to if we could. So any suggestions would be appreciated!!

(Ps Iona and Isla are already out due to family members with the same name already)
Thank you!!

Real Scottish ones are hard

Thanks everyone, some great suggestions for our list.

You're right yellow snow, it is hard, the boys were so much easier.

Ailsa, one of my absolute favourite names.

I Found boys names much much harder!! We ended up going with a Welsh first name (Cerys) with a Scottish middle name (Eilidh).

Some of these are very old-fashioned, but maybe due for a revival:

Ailish/Eilish, Rowena, Alana/Alannah/Aleine/Alayne, Aileen, Bethan, Seonaid (say: Shonn-idge = Janet), Bonnie, Brenda, Malvina, Davina, Gael, Johan (= Joanne), Maura, Morna, Kirsty, Chrissie, Rona, Dolly(short for Dolina or Donalda), Fenella, Kenina (say: Ken-eye-na), Marsaili (= Marjorie) , Gilda, Linet (Arthurian Celtic, but 'linn' = pool in Gaelic), Lilias, Sine/Sheena, Marion, Alison, Alexina/Lexi, Effie (short for Euphemia), Grizel (short for Grizelda), Jessie (nn for Jean or Janet), Shona/Seona also Seonag (say: Shonn-ach = Joan), Sileas (say: Sheela = Julia)

In Orkney/Shetland, there are Norse names: Raghnild, Astrid, Sigrid, Freya, Kilda...

NB - Senga (sometimes said to be Agnes backwards), mentioned above, has a negative meaning in some parts of Scotland. See this (but beware it's very, very snobbish AND anti-female): www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=senga
