Hi there, not posted on here for months (years?!) Been busy with my two boys.....now though, thrilled to be pregnant with dc3 ....only 14 weeks so loads of time yet, but thinking ahead to names and i am a complete blank!! I know its silly but i like sibling group names to "go together" , to compliment each other. Anyone please got any ideas!??? Dont think we will find out what we are having and my husband insists on 2 middle names. So thats 2 dcs and 6 of my facve fabbo boys names taken already, potentially need 3 more boys names or 3 girls names. Girls names are totally alien to me!! Mumsnet please help! Xx

I saw the thread title and thought, noooooo, that can't be pussycatmomma, I haven't seen her for ages. It's ShowOfHands btw, which probably means nothing to you nowadays.

Gosh, dc3, congratulations. What brilliant news. How are you?

Right, names...

James is fab, but is dc2 middle name, joseph is one of dc1 middle name. To clarify, gabriel and charlie can also be ruled out for those reasons! X

I have a Noah and love Isaac if one of my babies currently in my bump is a boy. My all time fav boys name is Joshua/Josh and I think it goes nicely with Noah & issac.
Also Love Oliver and Rueben.

Girls I'm going for Pheobe - it's biblical but not obviously biblical and classic and modern rolled into one.

I'm still smiling this morning. I like it when somebody I 'know' and like has good news. I can't believe Noah is 5, Isaac hot on his heels on the way to 4. Gawd, the road to having them was tough wasn't it? But look what you've done. Has it whizzed by? DD is 6 now and in that odd way, it seems like only yesterday that she was born but at the same time, it was a lifetime ago. I have a 2yo boy too (currently curled up asleep next to me) and our family is all done. I don't suppose you have any idea how the lovely coggy is? Last I saw of her on here, she'd adopted twins iirc.

Non biblical name would be fine I think. I do have a predilection for biblical names and we toyed with Ezekiel, Abraham and Noah for a boy but dd named him Raphael in the end after her favourite ninja turtle. Grin I think as long as the name feels right and 'fits', it'll be fine. Anything classic and recognisable is fine, doesn't need to be biblical necessarily. If you went for something modern, surnamey like Mason or Tyler or Carter or Brandon for example, then yes, I think it'd sound distinctly odd but I would keep your options open.

How's this pregnancy going? Have you told the boys? Any names you like yet? How exciting. I'm so pleased to see you on here.

Ah showy!! Yes it was a bloody hard road way bck then wasnt it!! Those threads used to keep me sane.... Congratulations on your 2nd beautiful gift, wow, and lov e his name. Also remember peachy and laughalot and often wonder what became of everyone. I knew coggy had adopted twins and was so very thrilled for her at the time. Getting back to names, my old favourites for a girl included alice, amelie, hannah, and eden and matilda...any of those cut the mustard?! Not keen on leah or rebecca and aside from ruth or naomi its difficult to find biblical girls names i like. We are members of a busy family church and we have several jacobs. Although i love the name i sort of fancied something different. Ezekiel for a middle name or elijah? Although not sure if a bit way out there for my hubby to approve of. I really really like harry and oliver, quite out of the blue, but just discovered they are in the top 2!!!! So perhaps thats out. Its a struggle getting names but also such a privilidge being in a position so blessed to have the dilemma in the first place... Xxx thanks for help so far

Thank you, i do like it. (Eden) but middle names? Love isaiah as its my fave book in the bible, some great scriptures. I know 2 islas in our church circle, not so keen on mia or lila. Quite liked eli for a boy but someone told me a famous person had sons noah and eli and i dont want to seem copycat. Plus tis nice to think youve managed something different. When i was having dc1 my fave name was oscar, and thats completely gone out of the window now! Gone off it a bit.
