Hello

Does anyone remember me? You wonderful people totally put me off the name Beauden and gave me a really tough time ; )). In the end we had baby Skyler who is now almost three!!!

Well, here I am again. And I need help. Again. How about Beauden; ). Seriously, I need another girl's soft nature name. I've considered

Luna (someone said it seemed dark with the moon links and now not sure)

Echo (probably just too crazy)

Indigo (someone mentioned the Indigo children)

Meadow (bit too much like a clump of grass)

Any thoughts on these? And any other ideas. I've got a feeling this little one will be having a nature name starting with 'I' or 'E' but I haven't found it yet!!

Linnet

I remember!
Can't believe Skyler is 3 already!

I have no suggestions to make...I haven't had any coffee yet...I'll get back to you grin

Oh I love Aven!

<steals for own list>

I like Meadow too...brings such lovely images to my mind smile

There's a little girl at pre-school called Ishtar - lovely name

What about a middle name for Echo?

Echo, echo, echo, echo....

Kezztrel Thu 15-Aug-13 08:52:45

I like Echo too! It is a bit out there, but it looks and sounds nice and is soft and naturey without being cutesy.

I liked Boden when I was pregnant with ds2! We didn't use it though (too scared).

Clover or Aurelia.

Love Echo! And it's got the classical side as well as the hippy one (and while Echo may have been a bit of a silly nymph, the same could be said about plenty of the other Greek mythological names too).

Meadow is not my personal cup of tea, but to me it's my preference of the others and also goes well with Skylar.

Luna is pretty but may not give her a distinct enough name from her big sister.

Don't call the poor kid Echo. She'll have people thinking that they're funny and saying her name twice. Meadow is lovely. Indigo is nice.

I can't believe your ds is almost three. I remember the thread well.

Boden? shock

Is this how "names" like Bailey, Chardonnay etc start, I wonder...

Please don't do it. And don't name your child Echo.

I really like indigo and indi is a lovely nn.

BoreOfWhabylon Thu 15-Aug-13 12:52:15

I really like Echo but if you like Luna, how about Selene? Selene was Greek moon goddess, equivalent of Roman Luna.

Boden is a proper name - it is French and means messenger!

CoteDAzur Thu 15-Aug-13 14:30:19

I live in France, speak fluent French, and have never heard this word "boden" you say means "messenger".

Here is Le Dictionnaire, where you can see that a search for the word "boden" yields zero results.

"Messenger" in French is.... Messager (Surprise! smile)

REad the myth before you name a child Echo

Irish for Echo is Macalla, pronounced Mock-OLL-a

littlepeas Thu 15-Aug-13 15:45:22

I don't mean it is a French word that means messenger, I mean that the name originates from France and the meaning of the name is messenger. It is also a Scandinavian name, meaning shelter - here since we are proving things with links.

It is not clever to belittle people on the Internet, even if you do speak fluent French.

www.sheknows.com/baby-names/name/boden

I would take explanations of Boden with a huge dollop of salt.

'Saint Bodey' in Thinkbabynames is in fact Blessed John Bodey
