Two syllable boys names that CAN'T be shortened!

I know that most names can be shortened however, some names have much more obvious / common shortened versions than others.
For example, popular ones include Daniel (Dan), Thomas (Tom) and Samuel (Sam).

I'm looking for suggestions on 2 syllable boys names that can't be shortened (or at least have less obvious shortenings). For example, Leon, Caleb and Niall.

Any suggestions please???? Thank you!!

Oh and my Rory is Rooster. I know a Liam who became Monty. No way to control it I think.

My Joseph is still Joseph at almost 7 and noone has ever called him Joe. However, we chose it because we don't mind Joe if he ends up being known as that.

Boys have a knack of shortening/changing every name of their friends. Harry becomes Haz or Hazza, Theo becomes 'T', Charlie becomes Chas.

Good luck with finding a name that can't be shortened and please don't become one of those parents who corrects their dc's friends when they use a nickname, rather than the name you put on the birth certificate

Sorry if these have already been mentioned, i haven't read everything.

Leon, Caleb and Niall.

You mean Lee/Leo, Cal and Nelly/Ny?

I used to know a Darren called Darren because his parents thought it couldn't be shortened, his school friends called him Daz

Hate to say it but lljk is right , if they don't shorten it they'll lengthen it. Or even worse - he'll get something based on looks or personal attributes: Tubby, Speccy, Titch .... Best pick something with a short form you don't mind too much and keep your fingers crossed!

really struggling with names. I love Ava Florence but Ava is just too popular and comes no 8 in the top 100. Any other ideas i definitely want to use Florence as middle name...

My stepbrothers managed to abbreviate Iain to "ee".

Thank you for your responses.

I know, like I said before, I know most if not all names can be shortened if you try hard enough and/or you want to but some are easier and more obvious than others.
Something like Ian for example is a little more difficult to shorten than something like Thomas.

I do LOVE Joseph but neither me nor DH are keen on Joe and it's obvious it would get shortened to this. Though I'm thinking we could still call him Joseph and just accept we cant control what anyone else calls him!!
Leon is also on the shortlist though someone mentioned this could / would get shortened to Lee which we dont like but maybe we just cant do anything about that???!

I guess whatever name we choose, his future mates could decide to call him anything!!!!

There is no such thing as a name that can't be shortened. I went to school with a family of four siblings, each with 3 letter names. They still get shortened!

Eve is Ev, Tom is T, Lia is Li and Zak is Zee.

What can you do? My mum also gave myself & my siblings names she thought couldn't be shortened (although longer names than the examples above) - they are all shortened sometimes. You can't win!

Even Derek and Barry can be shortened! Baz and Del anyone?

Simon becomes Si and Nigel becomes Nige.

V few names are completely immune!

Not every ones cup of tea but I love Maddox and can't think of anything it could ready be shortened to as a boy. Maddie is a bit girlie maybe dox or m but not a lot else!

auntiestella, apparently Mr Tumble has a huge one. Just saying wink

My DH won't go for ARthur because he thinks that all men need a one-syllable name for the pub (don't worry, I have rolled my eyes at him as much as humanly possible over this). I know it can be Art, but that just feels like a whole different kind of name and isn't an easy or inevitable shortening.
