Hi,

our DS was born today!

We have a list of names but I wanted to ask the opinions of your good selves!

We are thinking about;

Wyatt
Bertie
Felixstowe
Dexter
Cooper
Flynn
Jesse

Any thoughts would be welcomed!

Cheers

Yay Wyatt! Fabulous. Hope you're enjoying him.

Where I live the number of Coopers is verging on the epidemic as is Felix. If it's the same where you are and you are happy for DS to be Coops 2 or Felix x then go for it!

I quite like Wyatt but not the rest. Agree with other posters Bertie as nn not actual name.

Enjoy those baby snuggles!

Btw my Dad also hated ds's name (Asher). He loves it now, because he associates it with his grandson.

Aww congratulations! Enjoy bringing your lovely new son home smile

Thank you for all your help and suggestions!

I'm bringing my wife and son home today...

Wyatt George

It has certainly split opinion but out of all the names - he really is a Wyatt

If it's any consolation to those who disliked it, my dad hates it!

I like Flynn and Jesse best.
Dislike Wyatt.

Congrats on the new blue bub!

Gah sorry - should have said really like Flynn too.

rootypig Sun 04-Aug-13 23:47:35

Congrats! my tuppence - I love Wyatt. Really like Jesse and Felix. Think Bertie is ok but will rapidly date - the nn as name trend. Cooper is a surname in my book - and he will get called Coops. Don't like Dexter at all, sorry - but then my DH obsessed with the dreadful serial killer programme...

Amy106 Sun 04-Aug-13 23:42:01

Congratulations on the new arrival! smile
From your list, I like Jesse and Cooper best.

FELIX

mumofone25 Sun 04-Aug-13 20:37:34

Congratulations! I really love Jesse and Flynn from your list.

If you like Bertie but can't envisage him as a 21 year old Bertie, why don't you do the MN favourite thing of having it as a nn for a longer name that he can then use if he wants to such as Robert or Albert.

Congratulations, enjoy those newborn snuggly cuddles.

Onesleeptillwembley Sun 04-Aug-13 20:30:29

The only one that isn't stupid is Bertie. Please just don't.

Wishfulmakeupping Sun 04-Aug-13 20:29:12

Congratulations smile I like Flynn and love Bertie if its a nn for Albert which is a fabulous name

HelpMePleaseImConfused Sun 04-Aug-13 20:26:25

I know an incredibly cute baby bertie so after previously not liking it, love it. Although if it doesnt suit him i also like Felix and Flynn from your list! Congratulations!

Queazy Sun 04-Aug-13 19:25:34

I vote Bertie! Gorgeoussmile

Jambo77 Sun 04-Aug-13 19:05:23

He's 6lbs 14oz! Two weeks early!!

And I'm infatuated with him already!!

ChippingInHopHopHop Sun 04-Aug-13 19:02:24

Congratulations!!! How heavy was he? How are you feeling??

I like Cooper best (although it's not one I'd choose iyswim).

Bertie sounds like a bloke in his 80's grin

Jesse - American music.

Dexter - Labrador.

Wyatt -Old/boring

Felix - cat

Flynn - 2nd best, but not keen

But hey - that's only my opinion, you'd probably think my choices were Australian surfie or boring!! LOL

Bertie is perhaps a little childish, not Jesse though I don't think...how do you feel about Albert on the birth cert' and Bertie for everyday? Then he has more options as an adult.

Catnap26 Sun 04-Aug-13 19:01:04

I love dexter

Jambo77 Sun 04-Aug-13 18:56:44

The thing is I have a mental image of him when he's 21 or older , introducing himself as Jesse or Bertie?

Am I being daft in thinking they are names that suit a child but not an adult?

wizzler Sun 04-Aug-13 18:56:01

Like Dexter, prefer Flynn

formicadinosaur Sun 04-Aug-13 18:54:26

Congrats!!!!!!! Bertie is just too cute. Love it. Flynn and dexter also.

I love Wyatt, my friend has a three month old called this, he is adorable.
