What kind of girl is a Heidi?

Does this pass the High Court judge test? I've only known one in RL and she was quite posh. Or is it a bit strippery now?

There were a few around when I was at school. They were all fairly quiet, studious, nice girls. I haven't come across any small ones.

I've known two - one was a teacher, very nice.

The other was incredibly rough.

In my head they are all blonde like y'know, The Heidi.

Blonde, Swiss, lives up a mountain with her grandfather, has a friend in a wheelchair, fond of goats.

I like it. I don't automatically think Blonde. I know one who is not blonde. She is 'mathsy sciencey' :-p so it just depends who you know.

Don't let people on mumsnet have you believe that just because Kerry Katona used it, it's now unusable. Occasionally slebs (even trashy ones) use normal names. I think she has a max too.

I know 2 aged 10-11

One is tall, athletic, blonde

The other is a tiny little girl who people kindly return to her mother when she's playing out as they think she's much younger

HRH I didn't mean not to use it because of that, I meant it in more of 'what comes into my head when I first think of the name Heidi'and Kerry Katona was, unfortunately. The second is Heidi Klum, which couldn't be more opposite! I don't know any Heidi's in RL.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

She's the antithesis of the wholesome, blonde Heidi.

Have to admit now the Heidi fleiss association would make me pause for thought. just thought. it's still a nice name and any name you can think of there's a dodgy association. I remember somebody on here had settled on nancy and then Philip gurrido (sp?) and his wife were in the news for abducting girls and the wife's name was nancy. I think she was talked in to using it anyway.

I know two Heidi's and they are worlds apart in both the way they look and their personalities Smile

They are both however, lovely girls. I really like name and if it wasn't for the fact that it wouldn't go with our surname it would have been on my list.

Your Heidi will turn out to be the kind of Heidi you raise her to be Smile

I have a Heidi- she's loving, strong willed and always smiling (but she's 2). We met a 5yo Heidi on holiday and she was so bubbly and lovely it made us want to use the name too. I doubt she'll be fat as it's not something our family has an issue with - don't think that is liked to her name though! Lol
For me it's classic but not common which is what we like.

Oh and mn kept telling me about Kerry Katona - never comes up in rl as my friends aren't into vacuous celeb world. Kerry and I are very different people so unlikely people will make any link.

My best friend is a Heidi, she retrains problem horses. Has a very generous spirit and the patience of a saint. Oh, and she's blonde and dutch!

I can. Because by the time she's fifty, all the sixty year olds will be Molly, Milly, Tilly, Lily, Lila and Lola so Heidi will sound strong in comparisonl
