I live in S.Wales and only know of one. Have never actually met one, he's the son of a friend of a friend.

Is it very popular elsewhere?

Loads. Like, loads. I know 4 babies born in 2 years called Noah, that's obviously not including the older kids.

I know of four or five, all under 6/7. Not too popular, and I'm miles away in the north east.

Lovely name

Lots . The last baby boy born to one of my friends is a Noah too. Not as popular as Lucas or Finn though.

Mid Wales - quite popular, I know several. Often spelt Noa though (the Welsh way).

Most popular boys' name I know of all babies born in the last 3yrs. I'm in Southern California and have 3 Brit Expat friends with Noah's and also 3 other friends from home (London)

(the expats are all from London too, 1 Noah was born in the UK, the other 2 born here)

It will be the "wayne" of 2035 IMO

I've never met a Noah.

It is a lovely name. But - where I am (London) - it's almost a by-word for wanky middle-class. Eg, "I don't go to Whole Foods any more, I got sick of being run over by twenty little Noahs on their hand-crafted wooden scooters".

Im in Kent, and haven't heard of any.

SW London, three in DS's school. It's one of those names that's the same in most languages, so popular with multi cultural families

Noah will never be the Wayne of 2035 due to the fact that it is predominantly a middle class name. I reckon Kai will more likely be the Wayne of 2035.

I know one or two Noahs and certainly it's not as popular as Harry etc. I think it's lovely.

I don't think Noah will ever be the Wayne of it's time,by virtue of being a Biblical name, same as John,Matthew,Daniel etc.

Interesting to see where it's most popular!

Jayden will be the Wayne of the future. And Jayden is also a biblical name! (Or some spelling of it is, anyway.)

Report
heronsfly · 20/07/2013 18:39

Loads of Jaydens round here, 3 in one class at local pre school, I think it will the Wayne of the future too.

Middle Class Name. There are quite a few Noahs around. I actually like it though.

It's Jadon in the Bible I think Change

I'm not pregnant but am at the stage just before hoping to be. Noah is one of many names I like, possibly one of the more usuable though.

The Jayden I know best has a snobby mom with a name like Eleanor.
The 2yo Noah I know has a mom who screams Chav in almost every way you look at her. The mom herself has a name like Chrysantheum.
I really hate name stereotypes.
