We need to agree on a name for DC2, to go with DD's name which is Alice. Any thoughts on these options please?

I have Isobel and will shortly have Alice :)

Considered Eliza as a middle name for Alice, so I don't think they sound too similar and they're totally different names.

Also Edith is Isobel's middle name! Alice and Edith is very pretty :)

Love all of your names but IMO Eliza and Isaac are to similar in sound to Alice.

Thanks all, some helpful comments and also some alternatives I really like, esp Clara, Theodore and Edward. Isobel Edith is really pretty but I have a close friend with an Isabel so had ruled that out... It's so hard balancing all the different factors!

Alice and Lawrence would be my choices from your list but ultimately they will be living as separate individuals not a sib-set for the majority of their lives (hopefully!) so maybe similar sounding names don't really matter.

For boys, I like Alice and Isaac, even though they're sort of similar sounding. Alice and Zachary goes well, though don't like the name so much. I'm not keen on the other boys choices.
