Anjou can't do Magnus (tho I love it, and would have worked well with my maiden name) as our married name starts with an S

I see Soren and I'm thinking you "meant" Soeren, Sören or Søren.

So personally I'd go for Conrad as that's spelled correctly.

I think most people would pronounce 'Soren' correctly, Donkey, even without the ö or ø. Even if you've never heard the name before, it's pretty obvious how it sounds.

I know what you mean about needing to go with the surname, OP. If my DSs were girls, Blythe would've been my top choice. Our surname begins with a 'J' though, so the initials meant I couldn't use it.

Soren was on my original shortlist but I wondered if (slightly daft) people would associate/mispronounce as 'Sauron' due to the popularity of LOTR? I tend to over analyse though,so perhaps this wouldn't be the case.

Anyway, Conrad is awesome. Nn's 'Con' or 'Rad' are pretty cool too IMO.

I love Soren, DD would have been Soren (like that, not Sören or Søren) and pronounced like Soren Lorenson. But now we live in Sweden and I don't really like the Swedish pronunciation as much, so I'm not sure on it for our next child.

Both are lovely
