Thoughts on Susie?

I know 3 lovely Susies, both down to earth but terribly nice and wholesome. This makes me love the name and it's top of our list.
But is it a bit old fashioned, like a Sandra or a Jean?

It's a very sweet name. Would it be short for Susanna? Susanna is lovely.

The name doesn't feel dated the same way as Sandra or Jean do, imo.

Like it, although because I have a 3 year old whenever I hear Susie I think Suzy Sheep (from peppa pig).

Ooh, positive feedback. Thank you! I think baby would just be a Susie, rather than a Susanne or Susanna, as DH is not keen on those.

Our second choice is Juliet/Julia BTW.

I really like it. Suzanne is not ready to come back yet. I prefer Susie /Susan to Suzy/Suzanne.

It is a bit old fashioned (late 70's/early 80's) but I think could be dragged into the cool if you spelt it Siouxie.

I think it's great but would go with a longer version on birth certificate personally, even if you never use it.

I'm an early eighties suzie shortened from Susanna no one ever calls me my full name I do like suzie the most as a shortened version but other people call me Sanna or Suze I think it's very nice & poss underused at the moment

Suzannah is on the list if I have another DD.

Its the only name me and DH can agree on.

If they dont like it, they can be Suzie, Sanna, Anna etc.
