Boys' Names... I need Inspiration!

We have a few boys' names on our list - Elliot, Elias, Elijah, Max, Seb, Rafe, Kellan (but dh is dead against this one!). The problem is that I don't absolutely love any of them. I'm 29 weeks now and feel like I've read 10,000 names. I've trawled mn too, but the same names keep coming up and nothing is jumping out at me. Based on the names above, can you think of any other names you think we might like?

We don't want anything too popular, but nothing too outrageous either. Our surname starts with C and ends in y.

I fell your pain, boys names can be really challenging.

We are considering Seth and Callan/Callen at the moment, and possibly Caleb.

Good short list (though I'm with your DH on Kellan!). Elias is lovely and I haven't heard it before.

We named our little boy Forrest. It is a little unusual, but everyone i know that is younger then 55 loves it. Over 55 think it's a bit out there!! We found the name on a baby names list, and at first I wasn't sure if I liked it, but over the weeks, i grew to love it, and no other name started to compare.

Good luck choosing a name. By time your little one arrives your love the name you choose, and you wouldn't imagine calling them anything different.

Google 'raphe' then cross it off your list. I really love the other names though.

Rhodri DH wouldn't let me use this for either of the boys so I'm on a mission to get someone else to use it!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Lots of names to run by himself. He's so fussy though. Doesn't make this job easy!

I've always liked the name Elliot. And Max is a stalwart name, you can't go wrong with. Other boy names I've heard recently are Lucas, Euan, Jonah, Rory and and a couple of Lyles, all of which I think would suit your surname. Best of luck!
