Eden??

Boy or girls name??

What was your immediate thought? I really like this name for a boy, teamed with either Arthur or Nathanael for a middle name, but I'm worried people will think I've given him a girls name!!

Girl, but then I know a little girl called Eden.

I am on either side! I think that's a 50/50 name for sure! Go for it! I love it!

Surely a girl's name?

Its unisex. We had it on our name lists, my dd has it as a middle name but i would use it for a boy as well :)

I know of a boy called Eden, but I view it as more of a girls name. That said there's loads of unisex names I'd probably steer clear of naming a boy: Jodie, bailey, Jesse, Kerry etc. They just seem a bit weak for a boy.

I love it! For a boy, it's great because it's unusual but not too way out.

Girls name around here too.

I know two girls called Eden, no boys. For me it's a girls name.

Immediately thought of a girl but I think it could work for a boy with long blonde wavy hair (but no guarantee of that!) Lovely name.

I only know one Eden - a 9 yo boy

Fairygen you've kind of hit the nail on the head on why I like it, unusual without being too out there and ridiculous! After some googling I found it was a boys name originally and has only recently been used for girls! It's funny because I would never consider it on my girls list!

Girl for me but then my dd (6yo) has been in nursery and school classes with two different Eden's. DM on the other hand always thinks dd is talking about a boy!

I know a little boy, 1 years old who is an Eden.

It sounds like a girl's name to me. But I can see why it would boyish too, as its similar to Aiden/Hayden.

I think of it as a boys name, like I think Robin as more of a boys name. Wouldn't raise an eyebrow if I girl was called either though.

Girl's name to me.

I think it sounds feminine but i know a boy called Eden. If you look it up in baby books it is traditionally only a boys name.

Eden - I would assume girl, but my dd is Arden and that can be either.
