H & B names(32 Posts)
My boyfriend wants a boyfriend want a name having the initals H.B.K (K being his surname and B being a Middle name and H first name - The H.B.K is after his fave wrestler Shawn Michaels - Heart Break Kid).
I'm unsure if her want the initals on a boy or girl so the more options would be good.
We don't like too Old-fashioned names e.g. Bartholomew, Hubert.
We don't like too unique names (Where you cant say them).
We're not too much a fan of Unisex names.
We're not a fan of overly common names.
Names we have considered/we like.
Harry - We like but unsure on as a Harrison in the family.
Harriett - My boyfriend hates but I like as it's my nan's real name.
Hannah - My boyfriend likes but I'm not a fan of so compromised on Savannah so this is off the list.
Hayden - We both loved but recently found out someone I hate is naming his son this so it's out of the question.
Heather - It's a family name but I'm not a fan of it.
Hector - I like but my boyfriend is not a fan of.
Beatrice - it's my nan's name but i'm not sure on it.
Bianca - I love but my boyfriend is not a fan of.
Brett/Bret - I love and so does he as it's another wrestlers name.
Bryony/Briony - I love as it's a traditional welsh name and i'm welsh.
Beau - Is cute and we both like.
Any names beginning with H and name beginning with B that go together boys and girls.
Forgot to add i'm half welsh and my boyfriend is half Irish.
Love Hector Beau K!
You need to trawl the baby name sites.
Haley Hester Bronwyn
Henry Horace Brent
thank you BananaHammocks I never thought of that one. I will ask my boyfriend.
I'm not a fan of Henrietta, Helen, Hester, Henry or Horace there too oldfashioned and I dont like them. Although I do like some old names these ones don't jump out at me. I know a Hailey so Haley is out.
I love Heidi Bronwen/Bronwyn though.
I have got through baby names sites. and no names jump out at me which is why I asked for help.
Really confused by your post, as you say that you don't want overly common names then list Harry and Hannah, and that you don't want unisex names then list Hayden - for a girl!
So, on that basis, I'll just suggest some names beginning with H for you to consider:
If your boyfriend is being very restrictive re: must have the initials H and K, surely you can fight your corner for a name you like.
But, really, you need to go through a baby name book and write down every one you like. For browsing, I like www.behindthename.com, www.babynamewizard.com, www.nameberry.com and www.britishbabynames.com.
If you read it it says we have considered Harry, Hayden and Hannah etc. - A family member named her son Harrison which rules out Harry. As Hannah is too common we have compromised on Savannah. And I never listed Hayden as a girls name its a boys name Hayden has always been a boys name and will always be a boys name in my books.
I have but everyone I like he doesnt and everyone he does I don't I thought this was a page were you can ask for help ?????
No he wants the inital H.B.K (B being a middle name). - It's pretty hard to fight my corner when all the name I like he doesn't and the names we have both agreed on either family or someone we dont like names a kid it.

I also like Hywel (although I thought it was unisex and a surname!), as you have welsh ancestry I think should use it if you like it.
People will only need to be told once and they'll get it. It's surprising how some people can get the simplest of names wrong so there's no guarantee that you won't have a similar issue with a 'safer' name.
I like Hayden but cant use it now . A family member is calling 1 of her twins brody so also a no.
I like Hector Blaine.
I love Huw ight not use Benjamin my boyfriends best friend might get big headded.
The way you say Hywel is Howell which is a surname - but due to different spelling I like it. as far as I am aware it is not a girls name (in Wales anyway).
Brilliant, it's so nice to get feedback from suggestions. So on the short list so for you've got
Huw or Hywel
Have I missed any out?

You want to name your child after a wrestler?!
Sorry you misinterpreted my post as unhelpful, Kelly1992. I spent some time coming up with some names that matched your criteria.
For what it's worth, Haf is a Welsh name that means summer.
Best of luck choosing a name for your baby.
No. were not naming him after a wrestler were giving a baby the initals of a wrestler.
I never said it was unhelpful. - You said - Really confused by your post, as you say that you don't want overly common names then list Harry and Hannah, and that you don't want unisex names then list Hayden - for a girl! My Original Post said - Names we have considered/we like.
Harry, Hannah, Hayden.
I'm gratefull that you was helping and I was just saying the names I like and the names I don't out of your name suggestions.
I remember now Sorry I was trying to do it from memory on the names and origins etc.
and I never said Hayden was going to be a girl or a boy.
