Can you help me name DS6?

Hi

I have five boys Kyle, Cameron, Innes, Harris and Dexter.

We are expecting boy no 6 in 8 weeks but are struggling with a name.

The older four obviously have scottish names and Dexter is our wild card name. He was to be Callen, but when I held him I knew he was a Dexter.

The names we have on the list are Theo, Milo and Elias, but none really grab me.

Sadly our little Dexter passed away at 13 weeks last year, and I think I've kinda put his name on a pedestal, and want a name as lovely as his for his little brother.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

So sorry to hear about your wee Dexter, very sad.

What about Elliot?

or Mackenzie (Mac) Fraser, Lachlan, Alexander (Xander or Sandy) Blair, Arran, Angus (Gus)

Any good??

Would you have Lewis if you already have a Harris?

My5boysandme Tue 30-Apr-13 14:16:54

I love Xander but Dh doesn't like it. Not keen on Lewis or Arran . Lachlan is lovely but already in the family. Dh has also vetoed Angus and Blair in the past.

Thank you for the suggestions. Dh is so fussy hence struggling with a name. If I had a 100 names to give him he'd probably only like 1 or 2. I may have to do the whole I just laboured for x hours, let's call him y!

So sorry about your Dexter.

I think Monty is a great name and has a little quirk to it, like Dexter does.

Congratulations on your impending arrival. <3

Monty is fun, and would go well, Arran and Mackenzie are nice too. Alistair, Niall, Patrick, Kendrick, Donnell, Brodan?

(Also, I remember your thread about Dexter, huge congratulations on DS6)

Sorry about your little boy passing, I kind of think it would be nice to have another D name as a tribute to him.

Hello smile congratulations on ds6, how lovely to have another boy. I have a thing for same sex families. They are so cool.

I remember your thread about Dexter, I was so very sorry to hear of your loss. He sounds like a gorgeous wee boy.

Is Hamish too out there? What about Struan?

Sorry to hear about your lovely Dexter.

Miles is lovely

or a bit of a departure and have David - which means beloved as I am sure he would be.

Is Baxter to close?

Monty is too out there for me.

Like Brodie, Torrin and Spencer.

I don't think we're going to have another Scottish name, as we exhausted the lists when I was pg with Dexter and the only one we liked was Callen, which is Dexters middle name. My maiden name is Murray and ds2 middle name.

I do like the idea of another D name as a tribute however.....

Oh and thank you all for taking the time to post, I feel bad for not liking some of the names, after you were kind enough to post. blush

I love Fraser/Fraizer. Just a thought but how about having Dexter as a middle name. Or having Drew like someone else suggested

Arriettyborrower Tue 30-Apr-13 23:20:06

Dashiell? Nn Dash?

So so sorry for your loss, Dexter Callen is a fabulous name x

I second Hamish, lovely name.

So sorry about Dexter. I hope your newest DS eases some of the pain, though there will always be a hole in your hearts. At least that is how I see it. Our Pippa died in February 2011 and her little sister arrived less than 11 months later. The joy had been sapped from our lives, but we are slowly now finding the joy returning...
