This is quite a short list for you! Wink

Love Atticus/Kit and thought you'd pretty much decided on it?
Like Idris
Like Jude
Please not Elmer - great name for an elephant but not for a boy imho

Hester is my favourite of the girls' names by a long way. I like Betsy and Nell but only as nicknames.

Grin it is isn't it!

My only problem with Atticus (which I just LOVE) is that it's quite long compared to the other two DD names,I worry it'll look odd next to them IYSWIM.

My problem with Betsy and Nell is the same as yours, but I don't seem to like any of the full name versions...

Not Elmer (Fudd Looney Tunes character), Percy and Mildred sound old rather than classic. Like the others.

I don't think it matters that Atticus is longer than your other DS's names (which are wonderful names btw!), it still goes with Sky and Arlo. I prefer Atticus to the nn Kit though, but that's just me.

How about Otto?

FriggFRIGG · 10/04/2013 17:24

I like Otto, but two O ending names might be a bit much...

Otis, Jude and Rufus are great, and would go well with the other two.

Artemis is fab but two "Ar..." names could be too much. Also like Nell and Vita.

Kit is an odd nn for Atticus. A bit like saying his name is Jonathan but we call him nick

Fenn is also peculiar

thermalsinapril · 10/04/2013 17:43

I thought that too, OneHundred. Wouldn't it be Tic?

Report
FriggFRIGG · 10/04/2013 17:46

Nah....it's been agreed it was a fab nn/full name combo on a thread before...so it's fiiiiine Wink

Tic would be an awful nn though. Kit much better if less obvious.

Boys I like

Atticus
Jude
Fenn

Girls I like

Merryn
Nell

Grin

Of those I think Fenn and Merryn would work best with the names you have but I also think that's not v nb and you should pick the name you love best!

This list is great! We have very similar naming tastes... < marks place>

FriggFRIGG · 10/04/2013 19:56

I like Cassius, but I'm not keen on the meaning...Pascal is lovely, but almost rhymes with our surname, and has the same first letter so it wouldn't work Sad

Thanks everyone, this is really helpful Thanks

But the word 'hector' isn't the same as the meaning as the name Hector. I love Hector. :)
