Middle name for Sophie?

scaredbutexcited · 21/03/2013 20:19

Hi. My DH and I are both happy with Sophie for our litle girl (3 weeks to go!) but struggling to find a middle name we both like.

What do you think would go well?

We have already vetoed the following for various reasons:
Elizabeth (this was my favourite)
Isabelle
Ann
Amelia

Any inspiration welcome Smile

Hi, Sophie is a lovely name - good choice :)

For something timeless how about
Sophie Grace.

Sophie is a lovely name. I like Louise or Jane- a bit old fashioned I guess, but good as a middle name? Or Rebecca?

I came on to say Sophie Grace - but its already said. I do like your list - esp Elizabeth which I used as a 2nd name for my own DD (and sort of wish I had used it as her 1st).

If we had had another girl, she would have been Sophie Maëlle. Still love the combo.

Sophie is lovely - much better than faddy Sophia.

Choose anything you like for a middle name. Nobody but you and she will ever really know/care. It's always nice to honour a family member.

Thank you for all your suggestions.

I particularly like Lousie/Louisa. Rose and Grace are very classic too.

Will see what DH thinks later!

well, Sophie Elizabeth is the best choice, but then I'm pretty biased!
we went for grandmothers' names for our DDs' middle names but if I hadn't then perhaps something more 'wild'?
we chose Sophie because it's such a classic, beautiful name so you could be a bit zany with the middle name because she won't need to use it as backup.
