We have a 3 year old girl called Winter and have twin girls due at the beginning of April. The other half is useless at suggesting names so it's all down to me and I need some help...
I like unusual names but not too crazy... I also wanted the three names to go together without it being too 'themed'. I know these suggestions are all very 'marmite'.
I did like April and Aries but I've sort of talked myself out of April because it's a bit 'normal' and the other problem is our surname begins with A which might make it sound a bit funny?
So I was thinking of Rain as a possibility (with Beau as a middle name). I also like Tuesday - but this is only possible if she arrives on that day - other days of the week I'm not sure about. Another name on the list is Holiday. I also had Easter but again it sounded a bit funny with surname starting with A. Other contenders are Blue, Blossom, Bluebell, Dew, Misty, Star and Luna.
So as you can see I like unusual 'calender/nature' type names but then don't want it to be too theme-y or too bonkers. I've looked through countless lists and not overly keen on Day, Evening, Morning, Midnight etc.
Please help!! What do you think of the names I mentioned and any other suggestions would be great.
Pmsl. This is a joke post right?
Autumn and Summer surely
I just really wanted to be first to say that
What about Moonbeam and Sunbeam. They would go together perfectly then.
i really hope this is a joke!
Nope - no joke! Ok - take it I might be more bonkers than I realise!
Not Luna. Think of the one in Harry Potter, her nickname is Loony.
What about Hilly-Blue. Or Scarlett.
Fruhling, is German for Spring. Fruhling and Freya.
I don't understand why people are judgemental on this thread... Each to their own.
Thanks - I hadn't expected such harsh reactions!
I like Scarlett.
Dawn and Eva
Primrose, petunia, bluebell, rose, hazel, heather,
Fern, willow,
Lunaria (Latin plant name or honesty)
I like Blossom and Raine
Tree names? Rowan and willow?
Luna and Misty are my faves. Your choices are pretty 'out there' but that's OK
I know a Star; she is very cute. I like it as a nn but not sure I'd put it on the birth cert.
Ruby might go with Scarlett?
me and both my daughters (Lola and Lily) have L names and their surnames and soon to be mine is an L. It doesn't sound that bad i hope.
Rowan and Hazel go well together and are both nature names but beautiful too...
Eden would work well but can't think of a name that fits well at the moment. Will give it some thought...
I love Willow. The only reason I went off it is because if I put it with Winter I feel that the other name should start with a W too and I couldn't think of another one I liked.
Snow-White and Rose-Red? Like the fairytale.
Aurora and Sunset
Winter, Willow and Wynne.
Thanks.
I love Eden but it's Winter's middle name!
I like Rowan too - hadn't realised it's a nature name.
Aurora is nice too but then it's back to the A surname issue.
Skye
Willow ( I know a baby willow )
Bracken
Amber
Brooke
River
Stella
Venus
How about Mountain and Dew?
Seriously no teenage girl wants the name Dew!
I like a lot of your choices. Luna is a bit wag but all the rest are good.
Why not go 70s with Dusk and Dawn?. I'm also partial to names of the week like Tuesday.
I rather like April and Aries, I don't think there is anything wrong with surname and first name beginning with the same letter. I also don't think that April is that "normal" anymore - I don't know any!
I was going to suggest trees too though - Rowan, Willow, Oak, Beech, Juniper, Birch
Cherie Blossom and Apple Blossom
Bluebell and Lily of the valley
Why not go all astronomy-like... star with Aurora as in borealis or Sunshine? Or Sunray and Star. Cute!
