Juno and Sylvia are lovely - and so is Sylvie (knew a very beautiful little girl called Sylvie once) and I decided I really liked Sybil during the week. The presenter on Farming Today this week was called Sybil (Ruscoe) - very pretty name.

I love Sylvie. I knew a beautiful Sylvie too.

I couldnt see who Bernice Nolan was nor indeed have I heard of her.

However just stumbled upon this Bernice

If the baby looked like her then she certain would have the advantage of beauty (although I would be convinced there had been a mix up at the hospital).

I don't watch much TV so wouldnt really be influenced if there was some random soap character with the same name that I liked. Given there are 100s and 100s of channels there has got to be a character in some show for every name.

I really like Sybil actually - hadnt considered that one before. Thnx! And yes, there is a Sybil in Faulty Towers - and no it doesnt put me off

Sylvie is very pretty - I think I would use that as a nn.

Claudie is quite cute too for a little Claudia

I do like Beatrice but I have a friend with a little girl of that name and I would feel like I was copying. All the good names are taken or massively popular.

Who'd really give someone called Bunny a job when shes older! Apart from in a strip club!! Yuck.

Agreed Bunny is not under consideration - never was.

I'd like to think if she decided to make a career in striping she'd come up with a more exotic stage name - he he.

I like Sylvia; like Sylvie even better

Juno is a bit faddy for me (can't get past never having heard of it before the eponymous film) and although I like Claudia, I don't like the meaning ('lame one').

I kind of go off on one when I get my baby-name hat on Kind of a trippy zen .. it's starts off with names similar to what the person originally suggested, then drastically diversifies ...

I went to school with a Bernece (slightly different spelling) - tall, whippet thin, chic brunette. I like the name.

Juno is my favourite - is it REALLY becoming more popular? There were only 30 babies named it in 2010 but perhaps the increase is in the last 2 years. Not sure why that would be as the film was released around 5-6 years ago now. Or perhaps there was a whole segment of us watching it in our late 20's/early 30's who are now having children? Hmmm.

Molotov - meant that vanilla sounded a bit hippy'ish compared to the others, knowing it was actually Camilla makes sense. I like it, very pretty in itself but Camilla Parker Bowles......she always comes to mind and puts me off it.

I don't think Juno is actually becoming that much popular, it's just mentioned fairly often on MN. See also Persephone and Ptolemy!
