Lara would suit a grown up woman more than Rose, I think. The problem with cute names is I can never imagine a 40 year old with a job and kids being called that name.

Rose is lovely if a bit tired at the moment. Lara seems fresher to me.

I think Rose is a cyclical name, so will date. I would go Latin and choose Rosa instead, it's a little bit more unusual and somehow more exciting!
