I love both names. I love Harrison and nn Harry though the popularity does put me off. I love Hamish for no reason other than I just do. So far though i've had rolled eyes when mentioned. rMiddle name will be Edward.

I know this is a different generation, but my DH's second name is Hamish. He hates it and always has
He never uses or refers to his middle name unless he has to. (So I only knew he had one when I first saw his passport.) His mother really loved the name and still does. Just for what it's worth.

I know two Harrisons and hear it around relatively often. I never hear Hamish. I think they're both nice but I would choose Hamish myself.

Sorry really don't like Hamish unless you are a Scot & think Harrison would make a great mn but not keen as a first name.

I loved Hamish but DP said no :-(
So yes for Hamish. What about Harris instead of Harrison? That was our choice if Dc2 had been a boy.

Love Hamish! Quite like Harris, don't really like Harrison (and think the latter will be horribly popular in a few years time)

Harrison- no please don't! Unless you plan on your son being the hero in a Jackie Collins novel, alongside Blake, Blaine et al
Hamish is okay if you are Scottish, otherwise it sounds a bit try hard and/or something you might call a Western Highland Terrier.
Henry? Then he can be known as Harry if he prefers it as a nickname.

I've got a Harrison, nn Harry. I loved loved loved Harry but it was so popular at the time, we went for Harrison so he would have options. No other Harry's at his (quite large) nursery. I've had nothing but compliments in real life. If you love Harry just go for it. For us it just felt like 'his' name iyswim
Hamish also lovely though
Harrison is a truly awful name.
Hamish is a good one.
