Oh that's a very tough choice for me. They are both gorgeous names.
I think for me it would be Ella Rose.
But it is a tough choice.

Tough one - both are pretty names but Ella is ubiquitous and Scarlett Rose sounds a bit twee. I would use a different middle name with Scarlett (one that isn't a noun) as Scarlett Rose sounds a bit like a description.

Ella is a little overused round here, I'm afraid. Scarlett is more interesting but always makes me think of a little scar.... So I'm not that keen on either, sorry.

What about:
Eliana rose
Elisa rose
Ella rosemary
Ella something rose
I know a few children called Scarlett rose. So it's v common combination I that bothers you
Scarlett theodora
Scarlett iris
Scarlett elsa
Scarlett does make me think Scarlett fever though! Sorry..

Prefer Scarlett too. Also Stella and Serena if you're interested in other S names. Don't think Scarlett Rose is great. How about
Scarlett Jane or Scarlett Hope?
My friend called her daughter Scarlett Jane which I think it's very nice.

Scarlett Ava is lovely. Heaps nicer than Rose. As long as your surname doesn't start with a D!
Scarlett Rose is lovely. Ella is so popular, Scarlett is a bit different.
Scarlett Ava makes me think of Scarlett anus, 'red anus'. sorry

People can think of other middle names puff but rose is very pretty and goes with a lot. I think they are all nice names op, depends if you are planning on calling her by full name or mainly first name. I really like Scarlett, good strong female name but pretty. No need to buy a name book when you can come here for advise!

Thanks everyone. I'm still stuck on which to choose, maybe we will have to wait and see what baby looks more like when he/she arrives. I may never have to choose as we already have a boys name. I am aware that scarlett rose basically means red rose but I don't think that's the worst thing in the world and I never even really use my middle name. The only thing putting me off scarlett is if anyone shortens it to scar. X
