Would be a middle name. I thought a flower name would be nice for a spring baby. (Am due in May)

I quite like Primrose but don't know if it's too, well, prim!

How about ' May'? It is the middle name of two of my family members and I think it is lovely. And apt for the timing of your little one.

Second for May here. Just re-read my posts and am incoherent, sorry. Sleep, must have sleep.

I like Primrose. How about Marguerite (which is French for Daisy)?

We may name her Margaret soworn, so Marguerite wouldn't do! :)

I do like May but our preferred nickname is Maggie and Maggie May is a bit...something. :)

Ohhhh I like Lavender!

We're having Ivy-Rose if it's a girl (still haven't decided if that's a first name or first and middle name) and a flower middle name could be overkill- but Lavender is now a contender for the potential DD2!

Primrose Shipman

Lavender Patten

Don't do it!

I'd go for Viola or Columbine. [romantic]

So many great choices here, thanks!

Our surname is rather...prosaic. Think a journalist quite convinced of her own gorgeousness. So I don't know if a flowery middle would sound odd? But I love them!

Columbine is beautiful Yak but unusable in America due to the school shooting. :(

Primrose is lovely (the Shipman connection mentioned above would be unknown in the US)

Maggie Rose is also spectacular!

I do quite like Maggie May (even though I was sort of joking when I wrote to you before) Smile

Amaryllis. I love it but wasn't right for us to use. I called dd that through most of my pregnancy though. Beautiful flowers too!
I know someone called Primrose and its always shortened to Prim. Not quite so lovely!
