Isabel or Isabelle

Any opinions on this name? Which spelling is preferable? I'm leaning towards Isabel.

I have an Isobel, which is the Scottish spelling. Isabel is Spanish, Isabelle is French. So it goes without saying that I like the name grin but out of the two you've mentioned, I prefer the French spelling.

Not Isabel. And definately not Isabelle.

Ishbel is Scottish. My SIL is scottish and that is her dd's name. Lovelly smile
