OP posts:
DisappointedHorse · 19/11/2012 18:43

I love it!

curiousgeorgie · 19/11/2012 19:09

I love it too...

And it makes me think of the 'Oh Penny' toys of my childhood Grin

NoToastWithoutKnickers · 19/11/2012 19:09

I love it!

NoToastWithoutKnickers · 19/11/2012 19:10

Sorry, just realised my post is identical to DisappointedHorse Blush

OurPlanetNeptune · 19/11/2012 19:10

I have a very beloved relative called Penny (Penelope, but she likes people to shorten it). It is a beautiful name.

BunnyLeBOOwski · 19/11/2012 19:11

Knock knock knock. Penny?
Knock knock knock. Penny?
Knock knock knock. Penny?

HousewifefromBethlehem · 19/11/2012 19:12

Knock knock penny!

Knock knock penny!

From the big bang theory. That's all I'd think of!

IceNoSlice · 19/11/2012 19:12

Like it. Pretty, reliable, popular, bright. A 'head girl' kind of name. Or could that be because the head girl at my school was called Penny Grin

I do like it though.

lollypopsicle · 19/11/2012 19:59

I like Penny too but worried about the 'spend a penny' connotations.

stargirl1701 · 19/11/2012 20:01

Big Bang Theory.

barleysugar · 19/11/2012 20:04

Very biased here, but I love it!

Anonymumous · 19/11/2012 20:06

It's a bit cheap. Blush

clippityclop · 19/11/2012 20:07

Lovely!

TidyDancer · 19/11/2012 20:08

It's really sweet, but I think I would go for Penelope and use Penny as a nickname.

Alisvolatpropiis · 19/11/2012 20:17

I agree with TidyDancer.

MaryAstor · 19/11/2012 20:53

Penny is a jolly PTA mum with a sensible bob and a mock-wrap top from Next who always has a handy-pack of tissues in her bag.

I think it is quite wrong for a little girl. And also horrid.

Penelope is ok.

TwllBach · 19/11/2012 20:54

Thumbs up from me Grin

Kelerina · 19/11/2012 21:17

Find a penny, pick it up and all day long you'll have good luck

YDdraigGoch · 19/11/2012 21:20

Agree with TidyDancer. I love Penny as a nickname, but it is a nickname, not a name. Would go for Penelope and shorten it. I also know a grown up Penny who is very head girl-ish, though lovely too!

TwllBach · 19/11/2012 22:04
Grin
PurpleGentian · 19/11/2012 22:10

Agree Penny is better as a nickname for Penelope.

And I could never think of Penny as a jolly PTA mum after watching all of Big Bang Theory many many times.

YDdraigGoch · 20/11/2012 12:46

Siwmae twllbach!

I like it. It has a kind of Enid Blyton vintagey feel to it. (Definitely not a bossy PTA type at all.)

LegArmpits · 20/11/2012 14:04

NOT PENNY'S BOAT

janey68 · 20/11/2012 19:12

I would choose Penelope as the proper name though. It's so elegant and classy. If its PTA mumsy it would definitely need to be a grammer school. Penny/ Pen are very cute as a nickname
