Scottish boy's name

I need a classic, Scottish boy's name for unborn DC2. We have a girl's name ready, but are stuck for inspiration for a boy. Something easy to spell and that works in England too, where we are based for a few years.

I don't want anything too difficult to spell, so, much as I like it, Ruardhi is out. And we definitely prefer names that cannot be shortened.

We liked Callum, but English friends have thrown their hands up in horror and muttered the "c" word and that the only they know is Callum Best.

Any ideas?

Ah, yes, sorry about the spelling error!

I'm a big fan of Angus - had about forgotten it. Is it popular in Glasgow at the moment? (our likely destination in Scotland in a few years). Innes is fab, love love love it and would definitely have been on our list had French SIL not had a DD called Ines. Rory - like it!

Can't use Gregor due to completely incompatible surname, which is a shame and we have a Euan, so Struan is out!!!

Cameron and Blair have unwelcome political connotations.

It has various tables - one is ALL forenames registered in scotland in 2011, another is top 10 names broken down by council area. So you can see the top 10 for glasgow or wherever.

Lauchlan is unpronounceable for a lot of English accents. It also has more than one spelling - I know a Lachlan and a Lochie, but I'm not sure Lochie is a mainstream spelling. It. Certainly should not have been pronounced Lockee.

I love the name Ross. It's my DH's name though so I never think of Friends at all.

How about Kerr? Not too popular, but easy to spell and definitely Scottish. It's my current fav and I wish I'd called one of my DS's that (one of mine is called Innes :) )

Angus is great too - and not too overused in Glasgow (I don't think so anyway). We seem to be overrun with boys named Lewis, Fraser and Alex.

I liked Sandy & Grant, but they are both some of DH's friends.
