Hello all. Dd2 will arrive in 9 weeks and DH and I not sure we've found 'the' name yet. Dd1 was always going to be Sylvia or Stella and when she arrived Stella seemed to suit perfectly.
Short list this time is:
Cecily
Constance
Ivy
Pearl
Nancy
Sadie
What do you think? My top 2 are Cecily or Constance but not sure DH is persuaded ( although hasn't vetoed). His favs are pearl or sadie. I'm not 100% convinced of those. Other suggestions welcome.

My 6 year old dd is Pearl - so that is my favourite. It is beautiful name.
I think Nancy fits best with Stella though. I love the name Nancy. Stella and Nancy roll off the tongue together perfectly.
Constance is gorgeous, but nn Connie is pretty awful. Ivy is ok, not brilliant. Cecily is ok too.

Love Sadie but I agree Nancy goes well with Stella. Pearl and Ivy are nice too. Cecily always sounds a bit wet to me- sorry! Constance isn't my cup of tea but it foes sounds quite nice with Stella.
Another vote here for Stella and Violet, I think that would be wonderful!

Why not Sylvia again? Otherwise love them all bar Sadie.

My friend has a Stella and little sister is SMILLA. Strong Icelandic name, very popular in scandinavia.

I think Ivy or Pearl go best with Stella.
Too much "s" with the two names together if you use Constance, Cecily or Sadie.
Not keen on Nancy.

I think Pearl goes best with Stella and is a lovely name. I also like Sylvie and think that would go well with Stella.
I really dislike Nancy - sounds very American middle aged housewife to me and just not elegant... don't get the attraction, sorry.

I am tempted to say Artois as my nephew wants me to name my baby girl Stella Artois but obviously I have vetoed that option.
I like Constance from your list.

From your list I think Nancy or Constance.
Personally I don't like the name Pearl. No reason, it's just one of those names which really greats with me. However the only Pearl I know is about 80 and winkled like a prune

Love Stella!
Nancy and Constance/Connie are my favourites from your list. Pearl is quite nice, too.
Sadie is sweet but I'm not a fan of alliteration in sibling names.
Cecily doesnt fit with Stella, i cant ay why. Too many 'ssss' sounds!
Are you in London? Ivy = everywhere! There are two in DD's class and I have two friends (and DH has a colleague) who have used this name in the last year.

I think ivy is a really nice name but as someone has mentioned sasha is nice too.
I love Nancy with Stella. I have 2 DDs called Edith (nn Edie) and Nancy. If we ever have baby %233 and its a girl she will bf called Connie.
Nancy is the name of the first female MP!

With a lovely name like Stella why not stay in a celestial theme and consider Astrid

I was going to suggest Astrid too. Would be perfect.
The names on your list are nice but they don't really fit with Stella, have a totally different feel. Well, that said, Nancy does fit actually.
