Yay or Nay?
What do you think?

Nay, unless you really like it.
Makes me think of cream crackers and ribena...

Nay, I'm afraid. Jacinta better.

Errm no. Makes me think of a wholegrain savoury biscuit or an order of nuns.
She would also be called Jackie as a nn which is a name that is beyond awful IMO.
But if you really, really love it then.......
NO!

Hmmm. I quite like bean as a nickname.

I thought Bean as a nn as well. Double no on that account.

No.
I think Jacobi (nn Cobi) is better if you require a girly version of Jacob, but that's also horrible.

Not to my taste, no. Kind of like... Fredina or Jackina.

Is it made up? It sounds it.
No.
No!
Anything that could possibly be shortened to "Bean" should be avoided at all costs, IMO. It smacks of "we named our baby after the twee nickname we used for the bump".
Vom.
Definitely a no, I'm afraid.
Some feminised male names are great (Philippa was high on our list) but some just sound like the parents thought the baby was going to be a boy, had a surprise in the delivery room, and couldn't be arsed to think of a girl's name.
Or worse, that they desperately wanted a boy and were disappointed with their girl.

My friend has a DD with a middle name Jacoba after her south african grandmother - I think it's marvellous!
Ghastly. And it makes it look as if you wanted a boy and didn't have a girl's name ready.

Absolutely hideous 'name'. Please don't.

Love it. There are some graves in Warriston Cemetery in Edinburgh with names like that. Duncana was one I recall, Robina and Jamesina.... All Victorian and suggesting major gender disappointments at birth!
But I really do like Jacobina. Binny is a sweet nickname.

Jacoby is fine, Jacobina is awful. IMVHO
