Your boys names are all a bit indifferent to me. All very normal.

Your girls are all very old fashioned. I prefer Harriet (Hattie) and Martha.

Alexander/Sebastian

Henrietta/Georgiana

I love St John.

I think your boys' names are a bit highfalutin' given the middle names. Would go for Alexander or Nathanial (Alex or Nathan).

Like the girl's names (LOVE Winnie) but not Georgiana. But up itself.

Actually, looking at the list again, it's just Sebastian I took exception to.

I like Sebastian/Alexander - think Adam/James are boring and not keen on Nathaniel.

I like Harriet best followed by Henrietta and Millicent - not keen on the others.

I agree - your boys first names are all a little dull, if I had to choose, then Nathaniel or Sebastian (although Sebastian St John doesn't sound great imo).

Much prefer your girls names, especially Henrietta, Millicent and Martha - all lovely not overused names.

James and Martha

Sebastian or Nathaniel

None of your girl names really do it for me though. The two I actively don't like are Winifred and Georgiana.

Alexander or Nathaniel

Millicent or Georgiana

Sebastian is my favourite, but it doesn't go well with St John (which is great) unfortunately. Really don't like Nathaniel (& really really really don't like Nate which is what every Nathaniel I know has ended up being called) & agree James & Adam are boring .... so Alexander I suppose.

Girls - Martha is miles ahead of the others imo, I suspect Georgiana would be constantly confused with Georgina.

millicent lilith daisy would be milly lily daisy if you're not careful!

TBBH (other B is Brutally) the only girl's name I like there is Lilith. The boy's names seem, well, a bit posh, Daily Telegraphy, Clarendon Schooly. But if that's the vibe you're going for, then you've got it just right!

Love all of the middle names you have chosen - they're fab!

For first names I would choose Sebastien and Harriet.

I've never met anyone with St John as part of their name and I've always wondered, when your name is written as initials does it count as two words (SJ) or just one (S)?

The boys names are meh, though St John I like.

Winifred and Henrietta are great.

Boy in my college got the piss taken with sinjun as his middle name. We all didn't believe st John was sinjun. We thought he was making it up. Blush

Love Georgiana, Daisy, Martha and Harriet. Don't like Lilith.

Adam and James are my favourite from the boys' list. Don't like St John at all.

How would you pronounce Georgiana from paper: jor-jay-nuh or jor-gee-ah-na?

The first I love!

Why are you so keen on St John? okay if it's a family name or something, but otherwise it is SO pretentious.

AberdeenAngusina · 08/11/2011 21:55

Alexander is an awesome name. Can't go wrong.

In order - Alexander / James / Adam / Nathaniel / Sebastian. I don't think Sebastian St John is a good combination.

I like all your girls names, but think "Millicent Lilith" is a bit of a tongue twister, so I'd put it last.

Alexander or Harriet.

(Winifred is dire-don't lumber her with it!)
