Ok, so only just starting TTC number 2, but I heart this game!!

To be honest, neither popularity nor unusualness bothers me if I like a name. DD has a name that is upposedly, according to MN, very common (Matilda) but we've never met another in 11 months, and we go to groups etc all the time!

If its has a bearing (it does for one of the names below: Greta), our surname begins with G.

Honest opinions on:

Alice
Eleanor
Greta
Anna
Aurelia
Josephine
Harriet
Naomi
(middle name will def be Joy for a girl - family member)

Henry
Harry
Max
William
Framk
Felix
Alexander (but Sandy or Xander for short, not Alex)

Thank you! Grin

I love Harriet.
From your boys list, I'd choose Harry or Max. Probably Max though.

Well you have excellent taste! Grin

DS1 is Alexander nn Xander
DS2 is William nn Will
DD is Eleanor nn Ella (def not an Ellie Wink) could also have nell or nora at a push as a nn.

Expecting DC4 and currently like Edith nn Edie, Louisa nn Lulu for girls and Samuel nn Sam and Max just Max!

Good luck x

Naomi Joy is beautiful, though I am biased. Love Harriet and Alice too and Elinor but with this spelling.

Not so fond of your boys' list. I like Sandy but am less fond of Alexander and I like Max and William. Don't like felix, Henry or Harry.

Naomi is by far my favourite of your girls' names. Naomi Joy is lovely. Eleanor is next best.

I like all your boys' names (except possibly Frank). My favourite is Alexander but I don't like Xander as a nn. Max is second favourite.

Alice- Nice traditional name, especially if you dress her in a headband and blue short sleeved dress.
Eleanor - Love this name. It has nns too but I prefer the full Eleanor rather than Ellie.
Greta - ok a bit out there.
Anna - Good traditional name, simple but not too boring.
Aurelia - Too out there but ok if you like that sort of thing.
Josephine - Nice very girly.
Harriet - nice, reminds me of a horse loving type of no nonsense girl.
Naomi - Too much Campbell
(middle name will def be Joy for a girl - family member)

Henry- Very formal
Harry- more relaxed
Max -ok, a bit plain
William - Good solid with good possibilities for less formal nns.
Framk -Should that be Frank? No either way.
Felix _ no only if he is very flexible, thin, and "cat like"
Alexander (but Sandy or Xander for short, not Alex) _ Probably the name I would choose from your list, noit too formal but still, traditional.

Boys' names...

I love Harry, Max and William. Frank just makes me think of a big blokey guy in his fifties who goes down the bookies a lot (picturing Frank Butcher from Eastenders). I like Felix but DH vetoed it as it makes him think of cat food. I prefer Alex as a nn (as possibly will the DC and his friends). Sandy has horrible playground nickname potential...I just know that in my not very posh primary and secondary school they would've been "sandy balls" or similar.

I like all your girls names. I like all your boys names except for Felix (I think of a cat). Also I like Sandy as nn for Alexander, but find Xander pretentious.

I have two boys and if I'd had a girl she'd have been Matilda. I have and Alexander who gets called Sandy. It soooo suits him and he can used Alexander later on if he wants as I loved that too but it was a bit of a mouthful for ds1 to say. Wasn't that fussed on Alex.
Girls names I like Harriet, Greta and Alice..Harriet's my favourite.
I love Henry as well but my family hated it..grrrr..plus neither boys looked like a Henry.

there was a Sandy in my year at school and he never got teased. I think it depends on the child. He was very handsome and manly and was the school heart throb. Don't know if that influenced my image of the name now I come to think of it?

Love most of your girls names, although not Naomi (biased because ones I've met in RL have been really irritating).

On the boys list love Henry and William. Like Alexander but only as the full name or nn Alex.
