Seven!

That's George Costanza's favourite baby name.

newmumforever Mon 11-Jul-11 02:05:30

they shouldn't have done that! poor little fella

PadmeHum Mon 11-Jul-11 03:40:52

I like it. A lot in fact.

Congratulations to the Beckham Family.

Really, it could have been so much worse.

rainbowtoenails Mon 11-Jul-11 04:02:04

It is so much better than their other names.

differentnameforthis Mon 11-Jul-11 04:21:42

Really like it.

Is seven Beckham's number?

It just reminds me of the film, which frightened me shitless.

sleepywombat Mon 11-Jul-11 05:38:45

Bit dull, very American, slightly chavvy - was hoping they'd go for something a bit more ott/ridiculous/girly a la Princess Tiaamii!

Not keen on surnamey names & doubt v much they've read To Kill a Mockingbird. Seven also reminds me of the v scary film.

Only name of theirs I quite like is Romeo (although not quite so romantic sounding with David's accent).

Ah well, good luck to little Harpie, hope she rebels by enjoying her food & not wearing heels!

I like Harper, Seven is a bit...hmm.

(Seven Of Nine? Is Becks a closet Trekkie?)

mummy2b2011 Mon 11-Jul-11 06:17:41

Seven.... because she was born in the seventh month?

popsicle1984 Mon 11-Jul-11 06:19:59

Born in the 7th month at 7.55pm and weighing 7lbs, 7 is Beckhams number which he has tattooed on him in roman numerals! Got this from The Sun website!

umiaisha Mon 11-Jul-11 06:34:32

Isn't Myleene Klass' baby Hero Harper?? Am surprised the Beckham's didn't went with if I am right..

CheerfulYank Mon 11-Jul-11 06:42:33

It's the name of one of Neil Patrick harris's twins and some minor sleb's too...

Very popular here in the states right now...I used to really like it, but it will go the same way as Taylor. Used to be a slightly bookish sounding upper middle class name, now you hear it all the time on the baby beauty pageant circuit.

momino Mon 11-Jul-11 06:50:25

I'm most upset. our dd's name is Harper. I quite liked that it wasn't so popular here. The name is ruined. didn't know about Myleene Klass' baby <googles>.... ok that's it. <opens baby name book to search for new name for dd>

DandyGilver Mon 11-Jul-11 06:58:57

I like it. Not so sure about the "Seven" bit, but its just the middle name. Good luck to them all.

Zachary I first thought of George Costanza too! grin

Harper - not so bad

But really... they have named her half past seven...

boxoftricks Mon 11-Jul-11 08:14:37

half of peckham...

DurhamDurham Mon 11-Jul-11 08:16:33

Harper is ok, prob better for a boy. Scout would have been a more fitting tribute to 'To Kill a Mockingbird ' for a girl.

Hate Seven, it just reminds me of that Brad Pitt film, it's very creepy.

duckdodgers Mon 11-Jul-11 08:44:23

I dont like Harper (sorry momino), I thought they would have went for something a lot more girly tbh. Harper Seven sounds like a spaceship to me.

thekidsmom Mon 11-Jul-11 08:47:32

I really liked it when I heard 'Harper' - didnt understand Seven until reading this thread!

I think its an excellent choice - reflects her American 'heritage' in choosing a name no-one in this country would think of - didnt put the Beckhams down as big on literature but as 'To Kill a Mockingbird' is a favourite in this house, I approve!

mrstimlovejoy Mon 11-Jul-11 08:56:34

wouldn't say it was a pretty name infact sounds more like a boys name.thought they would choose something more feminine.

MugglesandLuna Mon 11-Jul-11 08:57:35

Maybe they are massive fans of 'My Family'
