Why don't you get DD to pick her 2 favourites from your shortlist, then you decide which one suits your new arrival best when she actually gets here?

Just wait and see which name suits baby best when she arrives?

Ds did not look at all like out chosen name so we had to find another one ASAP!

i'm also a nightmare at the moment so u have my sympathy..... i'm due in the next week and find i'm getting worse the closer to the date i get.

Freya - very pretty, feminine. i like myself but i know one so can't have it
Lois - like alot
annabelle - like alot but 'belle' names are v. popular if that bothers you
ruby- like but the popularity puts me off
Elsie - love it.
Rosie - a bit meh....

what about Elsa if u like Elsie??

u could always meet her first and see what name suits.

good luck

Hi thanks for the replies, dd is only 2.6 so not sure she fully gets it at 1 point we asked her what she wanted to call her and she said coco ( as in chuggington ) lol

Maybe the wait and see approach will be best, with dd1 we had chosen it ( olivia ) and just never swayed from it.

Coco is fab Nicplus, tres chic Grin ...goes so well with Olvia.

Freya, Annabelle, Ruby and Rosie are rather popular at the mo, so I'd avoid those.

Lois is okay, but I think Lane when I hear it!

I love Lois.

Would never ask one child to name the other. A name is your gift to your child.

CoCo would be fab and your DD1 would love you forever! We let our DD1 choose our DD2's name. She was 10 then and chose Felicity,I really liked Fenella but when the baby was born she really did look like a Felicity.Be brave and go for it!!

i really struggled when trying to name my daughter (MACIE) my h2b and i argued for weeks and changed our minds millions of times, in the end we just called her bump till she arrived then we named her.

If you like Lois and Elsi - how about Eloise?

I really like Lois.
Elsie is cute, but I prefer it as a nn for Elspeth.
Not keen on any of the others.
Coco is sweet!

Now I think you need to choose something that can have Coco as a nickname so dd1 can call her that! Smile

How about

Constance/Connie
Cora
Caroline
Carolyn
Cara
Catherine/Cathy

Elsie is lovely.

I know someone who called her DD Coco.. there was a lot of Hmm going on as a result but that shouldn't stop you IF you love it.

I like Eloise. Better than Lois and Elsie.
Freya - like it but aren't there rather a lot of these around?
Ditto Ruby, Rosie, Elsie.

Annabelle is nice.

I'd avoid Ruby and Rosie as they are so popular.

I think I'd choose Lois, with full name Eloise on the birth certificate to give her plenty of options.
