The Spanish fem form is Miguela.

Michelle
Micah
Mika (pronounced Meekah)

I know girls with all these names, although I always thought that Micah was a boy's name (it might be spelt differently perhaps?).

Shelly as nn for Michelle.

Miquita

Michelle is lovely and unusual these days.

The traditionally boys name Mischa (nn for Mikhail) is sometimes found on girls (I don't like it when it changes sex, but you might).

Micheline

Mica (Meesha)

If you are not keen on female variants could you make use of any middle names?

I like Mikey for a DD, possibly.

Michaela
Michele
Mikhaila
Michelle
Miguela
Micah
Mckayla
Makayla
Michaiah

I thin I like the last two best, stand alone but have a hint of Michael.

Mihaela - Romanian and pronounced mee- hi- ela

Michelle is traditionally used for Michael.

I know as I am one.

I pronounce my name as it is spelt, rather than the usual "meeshell" which i detest.
So i shorten it to Chelle.

My name was very common at the time i was born it would seem so i know a lt of Michelle's. There are a lot of nn used.

From Minnie to Micky and many in between.

MamazOn -I don't get how you pronounce your name, then? I thought the only way to pronounce Michelle was Mi - shell (like the Beatles song) as it is a French name?

Do you mean you say My - chell, more like Michael and with a hard 'ch' - or what?

Not saying that your pronunciation is 'wrong' or anything, just interested as I have never heard this before?

My sister is Michelle. I've always loved her name.

She pronounces it
Mi - shell (short i, not ee)

Mia definitely works
