Better than Alexia. that sounds very Dynasty.
I do really like Simone, I worked with a lovely woman called that.

The fact that the second syllable is "moan" puts me off a bit. I prefer it to Alexia though. Isn't alexia a term for a severe form of dyslexia?

I really like it, dp has just shrugged and said 'it's alright I guess' Angry

Wish wish wish I didn't need to value his opinion!

Yh, I'm not too keen on alexia myself so doubt that has much chance of getting used either

We have an understanding where we don't push if one us doesnt like a particular name we just look for another. It does save arguments but gets annoying when I find a lovely one and he just says no

Gloria doing anything for you? I really like that name, Lydia too.

can't say either of those are for me although i do love Dolores which i 'group' with Gloria but dp won't have it

Lydia is actually a beautiful name but i have a very very evil ex sil by that name and she has ruined it for me...

As with many French names, they sound much nicer in French than English unfortunately! See-mon, nice, but Si-MMAAHHOOON with a London accent sounds awful.
Sorry.

I agree that Simone is far nicer pro-nounced with a French accent. Alexia is okay, but Alexandra is much nicerSmile Lexie is becoming very popular at the mo.
