Hi all, I am convinced I'm having a boy, we have decided on Joel but cannot decide on mn. We like George, Nathan and Toby. Which goes better??

Joel Nathaniel or;
Joel Tobias

Joel George doesn't work at all I'm afraid, -the double J/G sound isn't quite rightSmile

You definitely need a longer mn to go behind Joel, I do know of a Joel Charles.

Some more suggestions for you:

Joel Alexander
Joel Andrew
Joel Benjamin
Joel Christopher
Joel Damian
Joel Edmund
Joel Ignatius
Joel Lawrence
Joel Matthias
Joel Olivier
Joel Sebastian
Joel William

Joel Nathan sounds best from your choices IMO. Lots of great suggestions from MelinaM too. Wonder about "Billy Joel" jokes with Joel William though!

A few more ideas...

Joel David
Joel Edwin
Joel Isaac
Joel Richard
Joel Gregory
Joel Frederick
Joel Timothy
Joel Nicholas

I think Nathan works best out of your options. The other two are too short and George just doesn't go. I also like

Joel David
Joel Matthew
Joal Alexander
Joel Christopher

Agree with posters above that out of your choices Nathan goes best.

thanks for the replies so far..George was chosen as DH father is John George

Toby i agree is too short to go with Joel so looks like its Nathan Grin unless we can find something else we like

Joel Nathan. But be prepared for everyone to think you're Jewish with that combo.

Sorry to say it, but I think nothing goes with Joel unless it starts with a vowel. For me its just about the way you bounce from one word to another. Like Joel Edward, say, versus Joel William. In the latter you have to stop in the middle. Joel George, Nathan or Toby don't have that bounce. Sorry if I'm not expressing it well

From the two that you have shortlisted I'd go for Joel Edward. Joel is a great name BTW. Both would be on my shortlist if we had another boy.
