Maeve or Isadora?

These are my two very favourite girls' names.

My 10 year old son is called Finn (although I don't feel that the names have to match).

Which do you think?

Out of the two I prefer Maeve, Isadora is pretty and unusual though. Like them both actually.

Oooh, love both, both were on my list for DD2. Isadora will be a tough name to pull off, but beautiful. Really like Maeve too.

Maeve is lovely. Isadora is ok, but would probably get shortened to Izzy by her friends as she grows up.

Maeve. Isadora would look a bit ridiculous on a school register list and shouting it in a supermarket would be quite a statement.

Finn and Maeve work really well as a pair too.

Isadora is beautiful, if you want a nn Dora or Dorry is lovely! Maeve is nice enough, but a bit plain, and I think it will become very popular as an alternative to May/Mae.
I do not see why Isadora would be any more difficult to pull off than Isabella, Arabella, Dorothea and the like.

Maeve I have never liked Isadora I think Dora is a harsh sound and I do not care for the nn Izzy and frankly I think it is impossible to not get that/

Maeve makes me think of Mavis and hence = old lady. But to be honest I don't know exactly how it is pronounced. I admit I'm not very familiar with the name.

My sister is Maeve.. She's in her 30s now and has nor had it shortened or messed about with. She loves her name!
