Maeve or Isadora?

These are my two very favourite girls' names.

My 10 year old son is called Finn (although I don't feel that the names have to match).

Which do you think?

Out of the two I prefer Maeve, Isadora is pretty and unusual though. Like them both actually.

Isadora every time, beautiful when little girl and woman. I so love it and i wouldn;t let anyone shorten it.

Isadora. It's beautiful. Classic. Unusual. Elegant.

Oooh, love both, both were on my list for DD2. Isadora will be a tough name to pull off, but beautiful. Really like Maeve too.

Maeve is lovely. Isadora is ok, but would probably get shortened to Izzy by her friends as she grows up.

Maeve. Isadora would look a bit ridiculous on a school register list and shouting it in a supermarket would be quite a statement.

Finn and Maeve work really well as a pair too.

Isadora is beautiful, if you want a nn Dora or Dorry is lovely! Maeve is nice enough, but a bit plain, and I think it will become very popular as an alternative to May/Mae.
I do not see why Isadora would be any more difficult to pull off than Isabella, Arabella, Dorothea and the like.

Love both. In fact, Isadora Maeve could well be a perfect surname/middle name combo.

Colonel, you have it absolutely right! Lovely combo.

Maeve I have never liked Isadora I think Dora is a harsh sound and I do not care for the nn Izzy and frankly I think it is impossible to not get that/

Isadora is lovely.

Maeve makes me think of Mavis and hence = old lady. But to be honest I don't know exactly how it is pronounced. I admit I'm not very familiar with the name.

Thanks. I'm liking Maeve Isadora today. I think Maeve's more usable as a first name.

I loooove Isadora. Think it is my favourite name. Couldn't use it because it is too similar to my niece's name and too much of a mouthful with my surname.

Does nobody else remember the childrens show Wizardora?
I can't help singing the theme song when I hear the name Isadora.

Love Maeve, though prefer is spelt Meabh.
find Isadora a bit much, it's nice enough but sounds like you're trying a bit hard or something.
