After three boys im finding it difficult to think of a special girls name for our first daughter.

DH and i can't agree on anything.

To give you an idea of our tastes, we had originally liked Amelia for a girl but gone off that as seems so popular, Had though different spelling, so possibly Emilia? But again now not sure.

DH likes Florence i don't anymore..and so we go on!

I like Elsa, Orla, Constance...

Looking for a traditional but pretty name, slightly unusual, nothing thats too cutesy so will suit all ages.

OK I like some of your suggestions so here's some of my faves...

Mabel, Agnes, Edith, Martha, Matilda, Elsie, Prudence, Cecily.
Some of those more popular than others but I know max one of any of them.

BTW I would personally avoid Amelia/Emilia if you don't like popular as there are lots - round my way anyhow. I find Emilia is just spelling your name all yr life ("no actually, it's Emm-ilia...").

OP I love Florence! Why don't you like it now?
We called our little kitten Florence and we are gutted now because we wish we'd kept it for our DD (due in a week!). We have so many cute nicknames for her that now every name we think of for the baby I judge based on whether we can find as many cute nicknames Grin
I love Paloma and Cosima, from what others have suggested. DH doesn't :( I also love Aster but DH says no. It's a flower but means star too which I think is gorgeous.
Good luck with the search!

Oh and I really like Constance too. I have a friend called Constance and her nickname is Cogs or Coggie. Cute!

may use Nancy as nn for Constance as not so keen on connie. I don't like Florrie which i think Forence would be shortened to? I find it harder to name a girl i think after three boys, I always thought a girl would be easier as so much choice Blush
