Also another issue is one of our other daughters is named Isla.

Ella is too close to Isla imo. I wouldnt name the sister of an Isla 'Ella'. Sorry.

What about Bella. That makes it that bit different from Isla. Or Stella. Stella and Isla would work beautifully too. Gabriella? Mariella, Annabella.

I wouldn't think of Ella as short for Isabella or Estella. I'd think of it as nickname for a name beginning with El, such as Eloise, Eleanor, Elspeth.
