My aunt's name is lovely. Delfina. She shortens it to Dina (pronounced Deena)

Or a place name? Sorrento is a nice name. Is Sienna an Italian name?

My DH is also Italian and my shortlist contained the following which I still love:

Adriana
Evelina

I thought although Italian, they also 'work' in English.

methodsandmaterials we have rejected Giovanna, Guiliana, Natalia, Adriana, Chiaria, Cianna, Dahnya and Antonietta. I quite like Lissandra (nn Lissy) but DH not sure. His favourite is Marrietta, which is nice but not amazing

(waits for everyone to say "Jilly Cooper")

Friend is Antonella, which I always loved.
