I hate choosing baby names, so frickin' stressful!!!! DH and I can't agree on anything. It was easy with DS 3 yrs ago, DH said 'How about calling him Jamie?' and taht was that.

This one is a girl and here's what we have at the moment:

Marnie
Orla
Isla
Florrie
Anya
Emma
Laila
Ava
Millie
Tilly

Help!

I like Marnie, Isla, Anya and Ava. Although I think some the other's are lovely, I think of them as nn's. I really love Florrie as a nn for Florence. Good luck with choosing, it took me ages to make a decision Smile

Marnie - quite nice
Orla - not keen, a bit "now"
Isla - OK, but again a bit "in fashion", prefer Iona
Florrie - like as nickname for Florence
Anya - OK
Emma - like
Laila - OK but think of Eric Clapton "Leyla"
Ava - OK but very popular
Millie - like
Tilly - not keen as dislike Matilda

Marnie - terrible
Orla - lovely but very ordinary where I am (Ireland), I know approx 16
Isla - lovely
Florrie - I cant take it serously as dd has an old teddy bear with a hat whos named florrie. That said, Florence is lovely.
Anya - beautiful
Emma - beautiful
Laila - beautiful, this was the name we would have called dd except we have a 2 syllable surname with both syllables beginning with L - too much.
Ava - lovely but bit boring
Millie - lovely
Tilly - too twee for me, is this short for Matilda?

I agree- its sooo stressful!!!!

Emma is lovely and quite under-used I think.

Tilly is a nice nn for Matilda.

Really dislike Laila, sorry and not fond of Marnie.

Orla - v nice
Isla - nice but bit trendy
Florrie - nice but is nn?
Anya - nice
Emma - bit boring
Laila - lovely - my fave
Ava - nah too trendy
Millie - as above
Tilly - as above

I have a Millie (Millicent)- supposedly popular, but don't know any others. Is fabSmile
Emma is my sister's name - uber popular early 70's- due a revival, very classic.
Wanted Florence for DD2(who is Philippa, nn Pippa)- was my gran's name. DH didn't like the idea of it getting shortened to flo, and wouldn't be persuaded on FlossieSad
so I like those three. Good luck!
