Marc-what???

Need a boys name, fairly long as we have a 1 syllable surname, works in French and English, not beginning with T to follow Marc. The double-barrelledness is non-negotiable (traditional in DH's family) although I suspect DC will end up being known by only 1 name, although I can't predict which...

We currently have:

Marc-Aurelien (which makes me think Marcus Aurelius)
Marc-Sebastien
Marc-Alexandre (which will get abbreviated to Marc-Alex)

Which would you pick from those three? Or what would you put with Marc?!

Of those I like Marc-Alexandre.

Other suggestions: - Laurence/Laurent, Joseph/f?

Probably best steer clear of Marc-Antoine though...

Well, I am obv in favour of Marc-Alex(andre).

Not sure how well Aurélien works in English, TBH...? Hard to pronounce correctly in the middle of an English sentence, perhaps. OR would you say it more Englishly (Au-ree-lee-an)?

Personally I don't like Marc-Alex as much as some of the others; I think that the 'c' and the 'x' in close succession make it a bit hard to pronounce.

I like Marc-Henri and Marc-Philippe best out of the options so far.

I do wonder that Auld. Might start another thread and ask as tge only ones I know are either French or of French extraction.

Adding Etienne and Frederic to the list. I like Francois but I feel there would be a surfeit of Fran--- in the family!

Seems opinion is pretty divided on the original 3. No wonder we can't decide!
