We are going round in circles and would really appreciate opinions on our ever changing shortlist. We have a boys name, but cannot find a girls name that we both like. I am totally fed up of stressing about this as not much time left (maybe hours, days at the most!) I know we could leave the decision till after the birth but I am worried that we will waste even more time then, and would love to just focus on our new addition and easing the transition for DD1.
Anyway, our rules, or preferences are:
- not traditional as would not go with DD1 name
- ideally two syllables as want to avoid shortening if possible
- not too popular, definitely not top 20 (For info, DD1 name greater than 400 in charts and although not an unusual name, I have yet to meet a child with the same name. I really like this, but we are open to a slightly more popular name this time)
Shortlist (but please make suggestions too as changes daily)
- Erin (how popular is this? I don't know any, but nat statistics suggest there are lots of little Erins out there?)
- Georgia (a new addition today, again concerned about popularity)
- Seren (DP likes this, but neither of us are even 100% sure on how to pronounce it!)
- Thea (read positive comments on here about this name, but DP not convinced)
Please help!
