Baby girls name- Is a third "E" wrong?

Hi there, I'm new to all this but here goes-
W're expecting baby naumber 3 by c section on St patricks day, scan is showing its a girl. We already have
Evelyn Martha (Evie)and
Evan Wyn

Is it wrong to name another child with a the letter E?!

We had our dd and loved the name Evie (now very popular!), then had ds and wanted to name him after my father- although I hate the 2 names together I love them individually.

Names in the running at the moment are

Soffia,
Erin,
Ella,
Hanna,

Middle name will be Mari/ Mair

We want something classic, would love something welsh, but not too welsh- or mayber something to do with st patricks day!
Basically, we haven't a clue- suggestions and opinions very welcome. Thanks Confused

I'd avoid using the same first letter for children of the same sex - think of the confusion when the post arrives!

Love the names you have chosen though.

I think having EM initials for both girls will be confusing - letters addressed to Miss E M Surname could be opened by either of them.

I'm not sure it's a disaster having 3 E names but, if you do, I'd rethink the middle name.

I like Soffia (but prefer Sophia, personally).

I think 3 Es may be a bit much, yes. Especially as your two current Es are also both Evs.

Um, Other possibles:

Aelwen
Bronwen
Carys
Gwen
Gwyneth
Rhian
Seren

I agree, my dads Gavin as is my brother. They are forever opening each others post. Could get confusing with name tags for school as well.

ok so welshish names, not starting with an e!

Love Carys, Gwen and Seren, but already used in our family.

My favourite's Nia (the Welsh form of Niamh.)

The name means "luster, sheen, brilliance", and Nia / Niamh appears in the old Celtic legends - she's an immortal, one of the queens of Tír na nÓg and the daughter of the King of the Sea.

There's a link to St Patrick.

(The condensed version, honest!) ...

In legend, Nia married the mortal warrior-poet Oisín. He is portrayed as being the last of the old peoples. Oisín goes to the land of the forever young with Nia, and stays there a few years, he thinks, When he returns home he discovers that hundreds of years have passed and all his friends and family are long gone, and he ages all those years in one day.

He meets St Patrick and they have theological discussions. Oisín represents the old pagan way and St Patrick the new Christian way, St Patrick tries to convert Oisín but is spectacularly unsuccessful. St Patrick and Oisín are the link however between the old and the new worlds. According to www.suite101.com/article.cfm/mythology/16045/1

"Oisin is part of Ireland's glorious past - a past full of courageous heroes and brave warriors, of gods and goddesses, of powerful druid sorcerers and magical nature spirits. This myth about Oisin and Saint Patrick serves to blend the two histories of Ireland making the transition from Celtic pagan worship to Christianity."

Or if that doesn't flat your boat, how about:

Lowri
Bethan
Sian
Patricia?!

Catrin is lovely too.

Are you and/or DP 'E' names as well? I only ask because MIL, PIL and SIL are all 'J's and DH is not. I think he felt a bit left out! They are all Leos too, but that's another thread Grin

I have a Niamh who doesnt like her name as its always mispronounced. She has the story of Niamh and Oisin which she loved. I like Nia and its obvious what it is.
