Ok, have decided (99%, so might still change mind, lol)to opt for dd2 (due 28th feb) to be called Betsy, having problems coming up with middle names though! dd1 and ds both have 2 middle names, ds after my grandad and would ove to name this one after my mum, but, I love her to bits, its not the best name in the world, god knows why my nan named her it, but as the youngest of 7, must have run out of ideas! or maybe after my other Nan, but not sure Betsy Jean works, and need to find2 middle names so she dont think the other 2 have 2, but I couldnt be bothered with her! Confused

Betsy Annabel Jean
Betsy Mirabel Jean
Betsy Jean Isabella
Betsy Jean Constance
Betsy Caroline Jean
Betsy Catherine Jean
Betsy Jean Pearl
Betsy Jean Hope
Betsy Jean Ivy
Betsy Jean Olivia
Betsy Jean Camille
Betsy Jean Amelia
Betsy Jean Victoria

The only problem I can see with Betsy Jean is the initials BJ, but if she's just known as Betsy maybe this wouldn't be a problem.

Betsy Jean sounds too dated IMO. I think you need something a little more substantial after Betsy as well-- 2-3 syllables.

Are there no other Grnadmother names you could use or other 'family' names that come up regularly in the family tree (hopefully someone in your family has done a bit of geneology.

Agree that Betsy Jean sounds dated.

Lots of lovely suggestions above, especially Betsy Mirabel Jean or Betsy Caroline Jean as suggested by mathanxiety.

I know a Betsy May but, although I love May, Rose and Grace etc. they seem to have become default middle names (not wishing to offend anyone they are all lovely and used for good reason!) but bit like Louise, Anne and Jane were in the 70s.

I think Betsy Jean sounds quite funky and like it! Are there any other nice family names floating around you could include? I like Betsy Caroline Jean suggested above too.
Or
Betsy Eleanor Jean
Betsy Florence Jean
Betsy Louisa Jean

One longer name in there works well I think.

I also think Betsy Jean sounds quite zippy and funky; I like the names Betty and Rita though, so make of that what you will..
