Not Thomas, just Tom.
What do you think? We can't decide!
Other DCs called Maeve and Joseph.

Hhhhmmm what's wrong with Thomas? I find Tom a bit strange as a Christian name... Won't people always assume he's a Thomas? For that reason I would say Benjamin... I also thing Benjamin goes better with your other DCs names.

I have a Thomas (who is also Tom - it's nice to have the opp to use either) and expecting DS2, who will either be Joseph or Benjamin! So I obv think that either would sound good together. But on your criteria of only wanting Tom I would go for Benjamin as it will give him more options as he grows up.

Benjamin.

Benji is such as cute nn for a little boy.

I'd go for Benjamin as I don't like nicknames as full names. What's wrong with Thomas?

I love Benjamin and would never have thought of Tom but with your other kiddies names, I think Tom would be lovely :)

Thanks for all opinions so far!
I suppose I like Tom rather than Thomas as I think it is a strong name in its own right, I don't think of it as a nn. I taught a lovely one once, plus loved 'Goodnight Mr Tom' as a child.
Whereas there are a LOT of Thomas's round here, and it always makes me think of Thomas the tank engine.
I also like Sam but not Samuel. And my Joseph gets called Joe a lot, (but I suppose he will have the choice when older).
Interestingly I would defitely go for Benjamin rather than just Ben. Really can't think why, I just like it!

Weird - I know someone with a Maeve and Joseph. I think her husband is called Ben!

I would go for Benjamin.

Love Tom, know a Tom (also not Thomas) who is just one of the most decent, coolest blokes you could ever know! Benjamin is ok too, but don't like Benji as reminds me of some tv dog when I was a kid, but I do love Sam!

Good luck :)

Like Tom (I'd stick Thomas on the birth certificate but never use it just to leave options open for him)

But love Sam!

I absolutely adore the name Maeve by the way! Gorgeousness.
