Gabriel is my absolute fave boy's name. I have one. His middle name is Jude :o

Gabriel - mainly because of Gabriel Oak in Far From the Madding Crowd (much better than Jude Fawley - also dislike Jude Law, so negative connotations). Would love to use it for DS3, but our surname begins with G, so it's a no-go.

Gabriel (also have one :))

Mog, there's a reporter on 5live called Gabriel Gatehouse, I think the 2 G's sound fine there, so wouldn't rule it out for the two 'g' reason (though obviously don't know your surname!).

no, my partner loved the name

Gabriel, I have one. It turned up on both mine and my partners list - he was quite influenced by the Penny Arcade comic and an old computer game he played called Gabriel Knight. I really don't get the 'gay' argument at all.

I like both names really. I love Gabriel and so does my DH but I wonder what it is shortened to? I presume it's 'Gabe' which isn't quite as nice but inevitable when they start school etc. Do any of you who already have little Gabriels have other short versions of the name?

Both fab, for me it's Gabriel by a whisker.
