What comes to mind when you hear the following boys names? Do these sound too foreign (apart from Alexander) and we would not be doing any favours to our child who'd live in London? Many thanks for your comments!

I love all of them, but I'd think of Alexis as a girl.I prefer Alexei.

I don't think those names would be a problem in London,or anywhere in the UK really.

Alexi, rather than Alexis I would.

Andre is a bit poncy

Anton, well, du Becq, so again, a bit poncy (but only by association)

Alexander and Dimitri are great.

Not sure what you mean by 'too foreign'.

Anton or Alexander.

FWIW I have a cousin named Anton, and he's never had a negative comment regarding his name. He's in Glasgow.

We're also in London and I love the diversity in names - people are pretty open minded.

I particularly like Alexei and Dmitri.

I love them all, though I think Alexis would be assumed to be a girl.

I don't think they're too far out at all. I love the generally East European/Russian sound of them. I would probably spell Andre 'Andrei' or 'Andrej', and really go for the more E. European feel. And use Alexei instead of Alexis.

Anton is also used in Ireland as Irish for Anthony.
