I like the twilight connection but am Cornish and it is a rather derogatory word for a holiday maker unfortunately Sad

Isn't that a Cornish word for a tourist???

Nooooooo!

Makes me think of Emmet Till. Not a huge deal in the UK, but in the USA the name has very strong connotations.

Report
CornishKK · 01/11/2010 20:52

That was noooo to the name, not no to cece. It is Cornish for ant and as Lavita says a derogatory term for a tourist.

Report
RhinestoneCowgirl · 01/11/2010 20:52

It means ant doesn't it?

Report
LetThereBeRock · 01/11/2010 21:00

It makes me think of Emmett Till too,and the cruelty that was inflicted upon him.
